Johnny Kerr...................
Area of Service: Youth Ministry, Children’s Ministry
Ministry Passion: To use my God-given gifts and passions for His Kingdom
Travels: I’ve not yet been anywhere that doesn’t border or corner
AZ but I hope to change that in the future.
Unique Experience: In the four years before attending ANC my wife and I were part of a youth camp organization which hosted a week long mission-focused camp in California every summer. We planned the camp, taught as bible study leaders for the week and planned and participated in various mission opportunities. I also facilitated a college-age bible study in our previous church and served as a yokefellow on the board of deacons. I played drums with the worship team but I wasn’t as good as Nick Fouts! I have taught music at the Irish Cultural Center for several years and have performed and recorded in many different venues throughout the Phoenix Area. I am currently the Vice Chairperson for a local non-profit cultural music organization.

Favorite Movie: I don’t have favorites but I enjoy foreign and indy films.
Favorite Book: My favorite books are typically memoirs or those based on true events. I also enjoy satire and fiction when it provokes thought and personal examination.

Education: I have a Bachelor’s degree from the Art Institute of Phoenix and I am a few months from completing my first Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix.
Family: I have been married to my wife, Jessi, for over three years now and have been blessed by our marriage in ways I could never have imagined. I am the oldest of three children; I have a younger brother and sister. My parents have set, for as long as I can remember, a wonderful example of what it means to live your life for the Lord and have exemplified a God-centered, devoted marriage.
Favorite thing about ANC: I could tell from the moment I walked in that ANC was a place where people loved and worshiped the Lord first and foremost. I feel confident that the heart of ANC is in the right place and I have been blessed to worship and serve along-side some amazing individuals. |
